Cute Ultrasound pictures!

Had another ultrasound Tuesday. Our baby was very squirmy and kicking but soon settled down and we could actually see her sucking her thumb! The ultrasounder driving the machine said she'd never seen a baby sucking a thumb this young (24 weeks). There's also a photo of a crib donated to our cause by a friend of ours and fellow optometry student who has had enough of this beautiful white crib. Enjoy the photos.

While you're here, be sure to take the surveys on the sidebar and click the link to the photo page to see photodocumentation of our recent adventure to Cannon Beach.

Look at this! Our friend gave us a crib! What a generous guy! Shouldn't give his name without permission of course, so we'll call him Challancy. Thanks Challancy. Posted by Hello

This is a cute profile. Our baby is actually sucking her thumb! You can also look carefully and see closed eylids and open nostrils. (sucking her thumb or picking her nose?) Posted by Hello

Here's a lower leg (presumably attached to a thigh and a foot (both blurry)) Posted by Hello

You can see the arm bones well in this one (radius and ulna anatomy fans) Posted by Hello

this is the face, one would supose. Posted by Hello

Some new polls

Things seem to be progressing well, another ultrasound is scheduled for next week (Tuesday). The big addition to the blog is the presence of some on-line polls! Take a second and give us your opinion. We actually have our minds pretty well made up for names, but we're curious to see what comes of this. Susan is starting to bulge a bit. However, she's waiting for the day when she definately looks pregnant to everyone instead of just raising suspicion regarding her weight. I assure her she looks pregnant for sure.

A Landmark day

Susan and I felt our baby kick today! We had to convince ourselves that it wasn't something like a pulse or our imagination, but after a couple hard jabs from inside, we were sure that we were feeling our baby's first kicks!

Another Ultrasound

We had another exciting ultrasound session. The tech who drove the machine was less personable than our first time, but it was fun anyway. Baby has grown! Turns out baby is also a girl! Our first ultrasound made it look like a boy, but no outdoor plumbing was visible at this ultrasound. 17 weeks along! Things are exciting.

If you have a good imagination, you can see toes on this foot. Posted by Hello

Here's a front view of the baby face at 17 weeks.  Posted by Hello

A photo album into the future.

These are some pictures I fudged of me and my alien-like baby enjoying some typical father/son activities. They're suposed to be funny, not creepy.

My son/daughter-to-be and I on a fishing trip.

Here I am with my boy/girl at the big game!

a rainy afternoon

Most of our professors are doing some kind of review session before finals. Some of them are copies of the Jeopardy! game show, but we raise our hands to try to answer the question, (I mean phrase our responses in the form of a question). It's actually kind of a fun time. Our class is sort of competitive. I'm buckling down now to study for finals.
